~My Car~

On April 17th we said goodbye to my Oldsmobile Intrigue. I loved this car so much!! I purchased the vehicle in February of 1998 when it only had 7 miles on it and drove it until it would drive no more. On April 7th, Sam and I were driving home when the car would not accelerate anymore and we were only going as fast as 10 mph. Luckily we were only a few blocks from the house so we were able to make it home......very slowly. We had the car towed from our house and the next day found out it needed a new transmission that was going to cost more than the car was worth. Since I had put quite a bit of money in it already within the past couple years we decided to say goodbye and donated it to the National Lung Association. So, on April 17th we went to go clean out my baby :-(
My final picture in my Olds Intrigue..........it was a very sad day.
On April 27th however, I purchased a new vehicle..................
A 2009 Chevy Equinox!!

It poured on Monday when we brought it home so I was scared to drive it so I made Sam drive it home. I was not sure about the black color as I was really wanting the Silver Ice one, but it is starting to grow on me :-)

~Easter Egg Hunt~

The Saturday before Easter I put together a little Easter Egg Hunt for Lana. I filled the yard with plastic eggs that were each filled with a special treat :-)

She liked to open one every now and then to see what was inside.

After the Easter egg hunt she decided to take Muffy for a walk with Grandma.
When she got back from her walk she came home to Easter presents - a tricycle from Grandma and Grandpa.....
.....and a pair of Dora Crocs and alphabet books from Aunt Sherry and Uncle Sam!
What a way to end the day with a picture with Grandma!!

~Family~

On Tuesday, April 7th my Grandma Bette passed away - She was 81. Her funeral was held on Friday, April 10th with a luncheon following.

Lana went around to all the tables at the luncheon and collected the flowers. She gave one of the flowers to her great grandpa!

~Tennessee~

We took a little road trip about a week ago to Tennessee to see family. It took us about 10 hours to get there making about 4 stops. We had a really great time!

We got to watch Shelbey's soccer practice while we were in Tennessee. Shelbey was trying to keep the ball away from the boy.

Sam's brother Doug took us to the Sun Spier where we got to go to the top and view the city. It was a great day for it!
